Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
This therapy relies on the therapist and client to have a mutually respectful relationship with the therapist providing a warm, accepting and empathic environment. The therapist will provide information and seek to work collaboratively with you to increase the understanding of your problem. Together via reflection, experimentation, education we will seek to create a strategy to address your problem and aim to provide you with a foundation to sustain positive change
Many people like this form of therapy as it allows for a precise focus on therapy with a structured and evidenced based approach. Some people will prefer to work in a less prescriptive and structured way and may benefit from other forms of therapy such as Person Centred Counselling.
